My Day in Court

Paul: Where am I? The last thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I think is a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table. Oh boy, look at that "prosecutor"! He's the most evil person I've seen! I believe he's even snarling at me!

My Lawyer: You think so?

Paul: Yes, I do. Who are you? At least you look like a kind and gentle man.

My Lawyer: I am here to represent you. And Thank you I try to be kind unto others.

Paul: Your appearance seems very familiar to me. But I just can't place you. I know I know you from somewhere.

My Lawyer: Yes, I know.

{The corner door flew open and there appeared the judge in full flowing robes.}

Paul: Wow, is that the judge? I can't seem to take my eyes off of him. He sure does command a great presence.

My Lawyer: Yes, He does certainly do that. He rules over everything here. His word is Law.

Judge: " Let us begin"

Prosecutor: "My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell." He told lies, he has stole things, and in the past has cheated others. This man has had other horrible perversions that were once in his life. He has committed sins he has even forgotten about. But I have them all here on record.

Paul: Oh boy, Aren't you going to say something? I have done some good things to!

My Lawyer: Just be patient.

Prosecutor: {Slams fist on table in a fury} This man belongs in Hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise. Justice will finally be served this day."

My Lawyer: {stands up} Your Honor may I approach the bench?

Prosecutor: No, I strongly object!

Judge: Yes, you may.

My Lawyer: Hi, Dad.

Paul: I know that man. He is full of splendor and majesty. Oh my, I know him know that is Jesus defending me. That is why he looks so familiar to me. He is my Lord and Savior; come to represent me.

My Lawyer: "Satan was correct in saying that this
man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And yes the wages of sin is death and this man deserves to be punished". {Takes a deep breath} "However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted me as his Savior, so he is mine. His name is written in the book of life and no one can snatch him from me."

Prosecutor: But he did evil! And That makes him mine!

My lawyer: Satan still does not understand yet, this man is not to be given justice but rather mercy."

Prosecutor: He has yet to pay for his sins! I want him!

My Lawyer: "There is nothing else that needs to be done, I've done it all!"

Judge: "This man is free-the penalty for him has already been paid in full, case dismissed."

Prosecutor: I won't give up, I'll win the next one."

Paul: Have you ever lost a case.

Jesus: Everyone that has come to me and asked me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, Paid in Full."

Paul: Thank you Jesus for being my Savior and My redeemer! And Thank you God for sending your son to pay the price on Calvary.
